PACS for RT and NM

ITA PACS

The RT PACS designed by Tecnologie Avanzate for the management of Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine Departments

iTA PACS is an RT PACS designed for the users to fully automatically organize and manage all transfers of data within one or more departments of Radiation Oncology and/or Health Physics and/or Nuclear Medicine or between departments of different Hospitals/ Clinics/Research Centers, thus allowing for the simultaneous saving of all data (images, segmentations, dose distributions, plans) relating to each patient and each treatment plan, to the local database or to an external database.

All the Studies in the local database can be backed up and restored by the system. It is possible to encapsulate any file format in a DICOM object, that is added to the local database as a new Study/Patient or as a new Series associated to an existing Study.

It is possible to encapsulate any file format in a DICOM object, that is added to the local database as a new Study/Patient or as a new Series associated to an existing Study.

iTA PACS can communicate with any node via DICOM protocol C-MOVE and C-SEND, be it a scanner CT/PET/MR/etc., a TPS, a LINAC or a R&V system.

If properly configured, it is possible to send the CT / PET / MRI / US / etc. from the device used for the data acquisition to different DICOM nodes (segmentation station, TPS, research station, etc.) simply sending them to iTA PACS, which will then forward the data to the proper DICOM node and/or store them. The same procedure can be applied to the transfer of RTPlans, RTStructures, etc. The Studies may be sent either in automatic mode or manually to any DICOM node.

iTA PACS allows also the display of multimodal images, the fusion of images by means of rigid fusion (manual fusion or with fiducial markers), the visualization of structures and dose distributions, the calculation and display of the DVHs.

In version 2.0 tools for the comparison and evaluation of different distribution doses are available. Also new metrics for the evaluation of the plan quality and the comparison with a reference plan or an ideal plan are provided.

iTA PACS allows the creation of reports in pdf format that can be saved in the database and associated with the patient as a new Series and sent to any DICOM node.

In addition to manual segmentation tools, iTA PACS provides innovative algorithms for semi-automatic and automatic segmentation which act in both single modality and in multi-modality. The new structures are associated to the Study and added to the local database. They can be sent to any DICOM node.

iTA PACS provides a web-based viewer, which uses HTML5 and JavaScript for processing and displaying of 3D images. Images are DICOM P10, they are transferred via HTTP(s) protocol, processed and displayed by browser. Supported browser: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Apple Safari, Microsoft IE10+, Microsoft Edge. The interface is also optimized for mobile devices (tablets).

With iTA PACS it is possible to export or send studies to other DICOM nodes applying customized anonymization procedure that are carried out following the directives reported in the document DICOM – Supplement 55: Attribute Level Confidentiality (including De-identification).
