App for radiation therapy technicians

We developed iTA Tech, an application to support radiation therapy technicians in patient positioning.
iTA TECH provides tools to support the radiation therapy technician during CT simulation and radiotherapy treatment sessions to ensure an accurate patient set-up and correct positioning procedures.
Several protocols associated with immobilization systems (mainly Qfix systems) are available for different districts and RT treatment techniques.
Checklists are provided to ensure both the identity of the patient and that all set-up verification procedures have been carried out at each treatment session.

Characteristics of iTA TECH – version 1.0:

• Selection of the patient through the QR code to ensure correct patient, correct site, correct procedure in RT;
• List of available protocols to support the radiation therapy technician during CT simulation and RT treatment sessions;
• Checklist to guarantee the compliance to technical protocols in daily practice for RT treatment;
• Evaluation tools to monitor patient well-being and treatment quality;
• Generation of PDF reports with the checklists of all the RT sessions.
