BIG DATA AND RADIOMICS
HEALTHMYNE ®
HealthMyne is a software platform aimed at the analysis of quantitative imaging to support clinical decision. It is a cutting-edge product in the field of Radiomics, a research area that integrates the information of radiological imaging with all those coming from the different actors of the Tumor Conference. To date, numerous ‘signatures’ have been published that show the power of these data in the diagnosis, prognosis and prediction of cancer, even with small datasets.
By processing a very large amount of data, Radiomics aims to develop a diagnostic and predictive model to obtain personalized diagnoses and to decide the best treatments on a case by case basis.
HealthMyne fits into the context of analysis and management of data from patient images and anamnesis, providing tools for:
- Improve clinical workflow;
- Perform 3D segmentations of the volumes of interest;
- Extract quantitative parameters from the images for each selected volume;
- Build a database with the parameters extracted for clinical and research purposes.
The characteristics extracted from the images by HealthMyne are those proposed by the scientific literature and their implementation complies with the indications suggested by QIBA (Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance) and IBSI (Image Biomarker Standardisation Initiative).
At the moment it is possible to examine all the districts in the modalities:
- CT
- MRI
- PET/CT
Point-of-Read to Point-of-Care
The HealthMyne platform consists in modules created for the optimization of the workflow and the exchange of information in multidisciplinary environment by combining Point of Read (characterized by the segmentation of the regions of interest and the generation of structured reports that also include the radiological criteria of response to therapy such as RECIST, CHOI, PERCIST, …) and Point of Care through an effective organization of multidisciplinary teams, a better organization of lung screening, incidental findings,….
The modules provided by the platform are:
- Rapid Precise Metrics (RPM)™ Module
- PatientCare Timeline® Module
- Multidisciplinary Conference Module
- Therapy Response Module
- Lung Cancer Screening Module
- Incidental Findings Module
- Thoracic Module
- Reports Module
Every three months the software is updated by implementing the new metrics and new protocols that have been validated in the meantime by the scientific literature, as well as adding new methods (PET and PET / MRI are currently in the pipeline).
